6.4 Echo on the Call
1. In a point-to-point call, the participant who cannot hear the echo is probably the one
generating it. Check whether their speaker is too close to their MIC.
2. In a multisite call, locate the participant who is generating the echo by muting the MICs one
at a time until the echo disappears. Then check whether their speaker is too close to their
MIC.
3. Check that the Echo cancellation option is selected on every participant’s Acano client
User > Settings > Advanced panel, Audio section.
6.5 Background Noise
1. When there is background noise in a call, locate the participant who is generating the noise
by muting MICs one at a time until the noise disappears.
2. Change this participant’s MIC to test whether that is the issue.
3. Ask the participant to move to a quieter room.
